Members of KZNVIP, along with security agencies and a vehicle tracking company, were dispatched following reports of a motor vehicle theft in the Springfield Park area of Durban this afternoon (18 July 2025).
Upon the arrival of KZNVIP Reaction Officers, it was established that a Toyota Dyna truck had been stolen from a local business premises.
The vehicle was then tracked to the KwaMashu area, where it was abandoned by the suspects as security teams moved in. By the time officers reached the location, the suspects had already fled the scene, and no arrests were made.
Fortunately, the stolen truck was recovered with minimal damage and handed over for further processing.
