This morning, KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R34 near Vryheid for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived, they found that a bakkie had been involved in a collision with a road grader.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that a patient had sustained critical injuries and was trapped in the vehicle.
Together with KwaZulu Private Rescue Technicians, paramedics stabilized and extricated the patient from the vehicle and transported the patient to the hospital for further treatment.
