The MEC deployed a yellow fleet in Mangaung Lakeview plots. The deployment of this yellow fleet came after the MEC convened and engaged active contractors on 17 August 2023 as part of the resolutions to avail yellow fleet assistance in identified local municipalities with internal road challenges.
The yellow fleet deployed is from Tau Pele Construction Company. The MEC has expressed gratitude to the contractor by availing the yellow fleet to assist the community of Ward 17, Lakeview plots. The team is blading and levelling the road and the road where the yellow fleet has been deployed hasn’t been maintained in 20 years.
Part of the resolutions from the meeting of 17 August 2023 include the department to record and publish the work of contractors that are availing their yellow fleet to assist the communities.
