As directed by the MEC for Transport and Human Settlements, Siboniso Duma, the Department is accelerating the maintenance of road infrastructure throughout all corners of the province.
With more than 603,000 domestic visitors and more than 63,000 international visitors expected to visit different corners of KwaZulu-Natal, the Department is focusing on facilitating the ease of movement of our visitors.
Different tourist destinations, such as Dundee to Blood River, received urgent attention with the visit of Deputy Director-General Mr SS Nkosi to ensure the repair of the P34-2 route.
This stretch, which connects Endumeni Local Municipality to Emadlangeni Local Municipality, underwent essential pothole patching.
The operation is a crucial part of our commitment to ensuring safer roads for all users, with continuous efforts to maintain optimal road conditions and enhance safety throughout the region.
