The delegation of the MEC for Limpopo Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure as led by the Acting Head of Department (HoD) Motlhanke Phukuntsi has today visited Eskom’s Kusile Power Station in Delmas, Mpumalanga. The Acting HoD is accompanied by representatives from Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) consisting of the Board’s Accounting Authority, Moses Tseli and Acting CEO, Makhitha Chesane, including the department’s Senior Management team relevant to the roads infrastructure directorate.
MEC Ernest Rachoene delegated his team to explore innovative solutions for road infrastructure development through the Ash Activated Road Pilot Demonstration. This initiative reflects the MEC’s commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to enhance road construction and maintenance, showcasing his visionary leadership and forward-thinking approach.
At Kusile, the delegation attended a detailed technical presentation on the ash road project concept, which included insights into its research, testing, and development. Following the presentation, the team visited the ash road site to observe the material’s practical application and effectiveness firsthand.
