Significant progress is being made along Rivonia Road as part of the ongoing rollout of the Rea Vaya Phase 1C trunk route.
The contractor has successfully completed the C3 layer – both on the road widening section and the median. This critical layer forms part of the road’s structural foundation, designed to support the future dedicated BRT lanes that will carry low-entry Rea Vaya buses.
These upgrades are part of the City of Johannesburg’s efforts to deliver efficient, safe, and reliable public transport through Sandton and beyond, easing congestion and improving urban mobility.
