On Nelson Mandela Day, the MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma will join the team building houses for the victims of floods in Illovo.
He remarked: “In particular, we will put the final touches to the house we have built for the Gcabashe family. We recall the unfortunate floods of February this year that swept away Mama Gcabashe in Lamontville. We will hand over the house to the family. On the day, we will also work with speed and ensure the completion of other houses for the victims.”
“Finally, they will have their permanent houses and will be relocated from Temporary Emergency Accommodation.”
