t approximately 21:10 last night, our Vaal crews responded to an incident where a patient had fallen around 4 meters into an underground basement. She was trapped in a confined space, with limited mobility, and had sustained a severe leg fracture.
Midvaal Fire & Rescue were called to assist, and together, we executed a well-coordinated high-angle rescue under challenging conditions. Careful planning, precise communication, and effective teamwork were crucial to safely lifting her from the confined space.
Thanks to the dedication and expertise of everyone involved, the patient was successfully rescued and transported to hospital in a stable condition.
