Jamjo Civils (Pty) Ltd, on behalf of the KZN Department of Transport, hereby informs road users and the public of a temporary road closure on Main Road P-3-1 (R102) between Rethman Drive Intersection to Port Shepstone (uMzimkhulu River Bridge) due to road rehabilitation works.
Closure Estimated Period:
From: Monday, 25th August 2025
To: Friday, 12th December 2025
Reason for Closure:
The closure is necessary to safely carry out the Rehabilitation work of Main Road P3-1 (R102) between Rethman Drive and Port Shepstone (uMzimkhulu River Bridge) as part of the KZN Department of Transport’s commitment to improving road infrastructure in the area.
Traffic Management & Detours:
All traffic will be diverted via Link Road (Light Motor Vehicles) and Commercial Road (Heavy Motor Vehicles).
Adequate signage and traffic control measures will be in place to safely guide motorists.
Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible.
24 hr Access to Port Shepstone Country Club will be allowed under a Stop-Go facility.
