R424 million invested to repair and rehabilitate the road between Vryheid and Phongolo

Inkosi Zulu has welcomed R424 million invested to repair and rehabilitate the road between Vryheid and Phongolo. The road provide a crucial link to Swaziland.

MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma announced that :-

• R22 million has been set aside for salaries for local communities.
• R76 million had been set aside for the benefit of the following

local companies owned by:-
1. Women – R22. 8 million
2. Youth – R26.6 million
3. People with Disability – R3. 8 million
4. Military veterans – R7.6 million
5. Other – R15. 2 million
