This morning I am conducting a site visit to see the progress at the Van Schoorsdrift Interchange project, part of the broader upgrade of the N7 near Cape Town.
With a budget of nearly R800 million, this major investment is already transforming the landscape – from the six new bridges, including the 56m Dieprivier bridge, to the new link road connecting to Vissershok Road.
Beyond the infrastructure, this project is creating work opportunities and supporting local enterprises and emerging contractors.
This is infrastructure delivering both immediate and long-term benefits: safer roads, stronger local economies, and more opportunities for our people.
