The Brixton Swimming Pool, a historic facility built in 1938, is getting a much-needed upgrade to serve the community better.
This vital recreational space, used by up to 200 children during school holidays and surrounding schools throughout the year, is being renovated in line with heritage preservation guidelines.
Upgrades include:
- Waterproofing the roof slab
- New glass turnstile entrance
- Modernised changing room facilities
- Improved access for differently-abled individuals
- Refurbished storerooms for caretaker units
- Upgraded flooring, walls, doors, and windows
The JDA is committed to preserving the pool’s history while enhancing its functionality for future generations.
