Progress continues at the Ennerdale Landfill site, where the JDA, on behalf of Pikitup, is constructing a reinforced concrete boundary wall to improve security and environmental safety.
Current milestones:
- Setting out for excavation: 68%
- Excavation to foundation trenches: 26%
- Soil poisoning of trench bottoms: 17%
- Blinding: 14%
- Concreting to footings: 7%
- Walls: 3%
This project will ensure a safer, more secure landfill site while supporting efficient waste management operations for the City of Johannesburg.
