The MEC for Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, Mme Nkakareng Rakgoale announced the resumption of the upgrading of roads D15, D3232 and D3150 from Morebeng to Sekgosese. She was joined by the Executive Mayor of Mopani District, Pule Shai, Mayor of Letaba, Cllr Dagma Mamanyoha, RAL CEO, Gabriel Maluleke and Management of RAL as well as Traditional Leaders from Pheeha, Mamaila, Raphahlelo and Phooko Authorities.
“Let us allow the construction process to proceed undisturbed” appealed MEC Rakgoale to the Traditional Leaders and Municipal Councillors. She added to what the CEO of RAL said by emphasising that “we are resuming the work that has been left by the previous contractor”.
The new contractor, Hillary Construction will complete the remaining stretch of the road from Morebeng to Sekgosese for an amount of R71 million in seven months.
Chief Pheeha who spoke on behalf of the traditional leaders said he would not allow any obstruction of the the construction from his community. “Leave Hillary Construction to work,” he said.
