During his visit to Harry Gwala District to roll out the Multi-Planting Season MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Sipho Hlomuka commenced with the contractor handover of D606 and D617 in Ward 6 of Harry Gwala District. The two roads were heavily affected by floods that occurred earlier this year. The roads will be repaired at a value of over R11 million and 14 job opportunities are expected to be created.
MEC Hlomuka also conducted a multi-disciplinary law enforcement operation on the N2 Westland at the Greater Kokstad Local Municipality. He was accompanied by Harry Gwala District Mayor Zamo Nxumalo and Greater Kokstad Mayor Lwanda Madikizela.
