The Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure is currently undertaking Dig and Haul maintenance activities along the D4200 road in the Sekhukhune District, under the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality.
The project is being executed by the Regravelling Team and focuses on upgrading the section that connects Ga-Matlala, Ga-Mashabela, Thabanaseshu, and Mphanama Villages. This important route links several communities to essential services and key destinations, including:
- Jacob Marwale Primary School
- Ngwanamala Secondary School
- Nchabeleng Health Centre
- Sekhukhune College (Apel Campus)
- Local guesthouses
- Apel Mall
- Fetakgomo Testing Centre
The D4200 carries medium traffic volumes, including light vehicles, taxis, trucks, ambulances, and buses.
These ongoing maintenance activities form part of the Department’s continued commitment to improving access roads, enhancing mobility, and supporting socio-economic development across Limpopo’s rural communities.
