The South African National Defence Force members simultaneously attended to the cry of the Community in both mentioned areas.
The road has been blocked by heavy stones due to the unfortunate floods that caused havoc and dismay to the villages in these areas, thus making it difficult for the vehicles to cross over to the opposite side of the village.
The villagers watched in amazement the skills displayed by the Soldiers. They looked with zeal as the Dozer was grinding, lifting, and tossing to and from big stones to the side of the road that was once used to be a beautiful tar road connecting their villages.
The Dozer was operated by Sergeant R.D. Mosia and his counterparts Corporal S. Makhura and Corporal T.L. Ndaba from the deployed Engineer Squadron under Operation CHARIOT under Joint Tactical Headquarters KwaZulu-Natal.
The area was engulfed by massive dust caused by these Construction Machine Operators who effortlessly manoeuvred and expertly operated the Dozer machine.
On the other hand few kilometres away from Kwangqolosi there was a house that was almost engulfed by the sand making it difficult for the family in the house to carry on with their normal lives. The Soldiers brought all the hand tools they could find such as wheelbarrows, shovels and picks to remove the sand.
The members are from Engineer Squadron under the Command of Major Madimetsa Lucas Masenya.
