Sewer infrastructure being repaired in Tongaat

Repairs are underway to restore sewer infrastructure washed away during the April floods in oThongathi.

The damage resulted in sewer spillage causing pollution to most rivers and environmental degradation. This led to the closure of the beaches.

EThekwini is pleased to announce that enormous progress is being made daily in repairing the sewer infrastructure.

Water quality in most beaches has improved as repairs proceed.
