High angle rescue of a construction worker on the N3 near Westville

High Angle Rescue – N3 Westville

At approximately 11h00 on 8 November 2025, emergency teams from S.T.A.R.T. Rescue and Red Line Response were dispatched to a medical incident on the N3 near Westville.

A construction worker became acutely ill while positioned on scaffolding beneath a bridge.

Specialist High Angle Rescue personnel from S.T.A.R.T. Rescue, together with Red Line Response units, executed a coordinated rope-access operation to stabilise the patient and safely raise him to the roadside.

Once secured, the patient was transferred to a waiting Red Line Response ambulance and transported to hospital for urgent medical care.
