The City of Johannesburg, through the JDA and the Transport Department, has officially kicked off the development of a brand-new Comprehensive Integrated Transport Plan (CITP)!
This isn’t just a document; it’s a three-year project that will serve as the roadmap for how our city’s transport network will grow, connect, and serve you over the next five years.
What the CITP means for a better-connected Johannesburg:
Integration: It’s bringing together all aspects of transport across the city’s seven regions-from our main roads, buses, and trains to dedicated cycling paths and safe pedestrian routes.
Our Aim: To build a network that is consistently safe, reliable, inclusive, and sustainable for every resident.
Long-Term Vision: This plan will guide strategic infrastructure investment, ensuring that every part of the city is linked effectively.
The wheels are in motion for a new era of mobility! Stay tuned as we share opportunities for community engagement and key project milestones.
Stay tuned for updates!
