Today at the Riverside Government Complex Open Grounds, MEC Thulasizwe Thomo, joined by HOD Mr Morolo and senior management officials of the Department, officially handed over 19 new graders as part of our continued efforts to strengthen road maintenance and improve service delivery across the province.
The acquisition of these graders forms part of the Department’s ongoing commitment to enhance its internal capacity to maintain the provincial road network, particularly gravel roads in rural communities.
The deployment of the graders across the four districts will play a critical role in improving road accessibility and supporting the work undertaken through our cost centres. This investment demonstrates our commitment to maintaining and strengthening the provincial road infrastructure network.
