The MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Sipho Hlomuka yesterday, 03 June 2023, officiated the commencement of the construction of the Cabane River Bridge in the area of Umzimkhulu under the Harry Gwala District.
The bridge which will be constructed at an investment of R34 million is located on main road P749 between Umzimkhulu and Riverside. Over 25 job opportunities will be created with local emerging contractors set to benefit.
