Progress has been made with the construction of the temporary bypass at the flood-damaged Cardington Bridge

The Department of Roads and Public Works informs the public that construction of the temporary bypass at the flood-damaged Cardington Bridge on Road MR948 in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District is well underway.

The Department is implementing the temporary bypass to safely restore access as soon as conditions allow.

Motorists are urged to continue using the approved alternative route and to refrain from using any unauthorised crossings, as these remain unsafe.
