Paramedics from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) are currently (Tuesday, 17:47) stabilising a seriously injured man following an industrial accident at a private residence on Marula Circle in Trenance Park, KwaZulu-Natal.
The injured man, aged 25, is employed as a General Worker at the property. He was assisting a colleague with the replacement of a front door when the accident occurred.
It is alleged that while operating an angle grinder, the tool slipped from his hands, resulting in severe injuries. The rotating blade lacerated two fingers of a colleague before cutting into the injured man’s right leg behind the knee.
Upon arrival, First Responders found the man lying in a pool of blood. Emergency Medical Care was immediately initiated.
He will be expedited to a medical facility for further treatment.
