Follow-up notice regarding the water supply 09:45 23-08-25
The completion of repairs has been finalised, and pressurisation has commenced. Uitkyk is slowly increasing towards sustaining the pipeline to Brandkop Reservoir. Once sufficient pressure is achieved, water will start flowing through the network and out of taps.
Thank you for your patience as the system is restored.

Follow-up notice regarding the water supply 06:20 23-08-25
The repair work on the main pipeline has been completed. The next stage of the process is to repressurise the pipeline, during which faults may still occur.
Once the pipeline is fully pressurised, the entire line from Welbedacht Dam to Brandkop will need to be filled. Reservoirs must reach their required levels before household supply can resume. This process is expected to take several hours, provided no further complications arise.
Water restoration will be gradual, and low-lying areas will receive water first.
Supply will then extend to higher-lying areas over time.
